Join a 12 Day Online Interactive Program for Leaders Mobilising Communities Online for Social Change

I am excited to share that JSiE, O.P. Jindal Global University,  have launched Leadership, Action and Change (LAC), Short Program,  on the lines of the LOA Program at Harvard University, where our Friend Rupinder Bhalla was one of the Teaching Fellow last year. 

The Leadership, Action and Change (LAC) Short  12 Day Program is designed on the value-based framework of community organizing developed by Professor Marshall Ganz from Harvard Kennedy School and also replicated in President Obama’s winning election campaigns. The LAC program is one of its kind in India and is designed to empower young leaders, civic associations, advocacy groups, and social movements in India working on social and political change. 

They  have used this framework working on Political Empowerment of Women at the Grassroots in Uttarakhand, Nepal and rest of India. In 2019, 14 Leaders from Community organisations across India joined the Online Executive Education Program to learn skills to run projects for social change at the grassroots.  In 2018,  through the PPC Program, they used the community organising framework to empower 13 Grassroots Organisations leaders on issues like Drug Abuse, Jail Reformations, Circular Economy, Education, Livelihood for Tribals amongst others. Program Features:

This Program uses five foundational leadership practices which you will learn from experienced Harvard Faculty and through regular one on one Coaching by Harvard Mentors.

1. Leadership Development
2. Learn the Art of Public Narrative to build relationships
3. How to Build Strategy for Action-based Projects
4. How to Structure Strong Leadership Teams
5. Putting Strategy into Action to achieve the goal

Program Details:

Eligibility: Graduation in any field or have relevant work experience (6+ months)

Duration: 12 Days 

Format: 8 Interactive Online Lectures and 4 Interactive Online Workshops of 2 hours each

 Fees: Rs. 5000 per participant

 Application Deadline: 21 April  (rolling basis acceptance based on eligibility, project and experience)
